How ThesisMemo handles your information
Effective 13 August 2026. This policy describes the ThesisMemo web private beta. It will be reviewed before paid launch and updated when new providers or uses are introduced.
Information we collect
We collect account information you provide, including email address, display name and authentication records. When you use the product, we store your Watchlist, Portfolio entries, research themes, saved research, alert state, Morning Brief preferences and questions submitted to Ask ThesisMemo. We may also receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, request logs and security events from our hosting providers.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, provide and personalize the research workspace, protect the service, diagnose failures and improve product quality. Portfolio entries are used to organize research context; ThesisMemo does not connect to a brokerage or place trades in this beta.
Service providers and overseas processing
The beta uses service providers that may process data outside Australia, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting, and configured AI/search providers for research requests. Market-data providers supply company information. A question sent to Ask ThesisMemo may be shared with configured AI and search providers to generate the requested answer. Do not submit secrets, account numbers or sensitive personal information.
Retention, security and access
Account-level database policies are designed to keep each user's private workspace separate. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with your account by emailing hello@thesismemo.com. We retain information while needed to provide the beta, comply with law, resolve disputes and maintain security, then delete or de-identify it where practical.
Cookies
ThesisMemo uses essential authentication cookies to keep you signed in. Additional analytics or marketing cookies will be documented before they are enabled.
Questions and complaints
Email hello@thesismemo.com with the subject “Privacy”. We will acknowledge the request and investigate it. Information about the Australian Privacy Principles is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
This beta policy is an operational draft, not legal advice. It requires professional review once the operating entity, launch jurisdictions, analytics stack and paid billing flow are finalized.
